Threats lead to arrest for aggravated harassment

On March 28, 2018 at around 9:44am, officers responded to the Questar Sackett Center at 200 Schuurman Road to investigate a report that an individual made threats towards faculty and staff at the school. The investigation revealed that Jason S. Hamm, 43, of Valatie, NY made threats towards faculty and staff in response to staff members calling to check on his child who was absent from school. Hamm was arrested by Columbia County Sheriff’s Department deputies and turned over to Schodack Police Department. Hamm was charged with aggravated harassment 2nd degree. Hamm was arraigned before Town Justice Wagner in Town of Schodack Justice Court and released on his own recognizance with an order of protection. Hamm was scheduled to re-appear in Town of Schodack Justice Court on April 4, 2018 at 6:00pm.
