Disturbance leads to multiple charges

On November 22nd, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 26 year old Jordan Schultz of Ohio, Illinois. The Schodack Police Department was dispatched to the Comfort Inn and Suites on Miller Rd late at night and found that Mr. Schultz was creating a disturbance at the hotel but was being restrained by good samaritans. Mr. Schultz had started a small fire in his hotel room, damaged a phone at the clerks desk, and was attempting to go after staff before being detained by other hotel guests. He was arrested and charged with the felonies of Falsely Reporting an Incident in the First Degree, Criminal MIschief in the Third Degree, and the misdemeanors of Arson in the Fifth Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. He was remaned to the Rensselaer County Jail with bail ($10,000 cash or bond) with a preliminary hearing set in the Schodack Town Court.
