2-year-old boy found safe after brief search

Schodack Police Department investigated a report of a missing 2-year-old boy at 2591 Phillips Road. The child was found safe at home after a brief search. Other agencies were called and responded quickly with their resources. In addition to Schodack Police, members of East Greenbush Police, Rensselaer Police, North Greenbush Police, New York State Police, Rensselaer County Sheriffs Office, Albany County Sheriffs, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and Southe Rensselaer County Search and Rescue worked to find the child. Members searched the interior of the house as well as surrounding property outside. The child was found asleep between pillows in what appeared to be a neatly made bed. The Schodack Police would like to thank all the people who assisted in the search. The Schodack Police Department is thankful that the child was found safe and wish he the family well.
