On March 10th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 20 year old Jody Livesay of Hopewell, Virginia. The Schodack Police Department was dispatched to an active domestic at the Bel Air Motel. The female victim reported that during the dispute her boyfriend, Mr. Livesay, had grabbed her by the throat with both hands for nearly a minute while she was holding their one year old child. In addition to that Mr. Livesay was alleged to have head butted the victim, completely destroyed the motel room, stolen a cell phone belonging to the victim preventing her from calling police for assistance, and prevented her from leaving the room when she tried to get away. Mr. Livesay fled the scene on foot but was located walking on State Route 9. Mr. Livesay was arrested for the misdemeanors of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, two counts of Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, and the violation of Harassment in the 2nd degree. He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of bail due to appear back in the Schodack Town Court on 04/05/2017 at 06:00 PM.
