Town of Schodack Police arrested Kevin M. Hawver, 52 of 136 Snyder Road, Ghent, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Officer Eckel was working with parole officers from the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision attempting to locate a different person on an active warrant. Parole officers identified Mr. Hawver as one of their parolees. An investigation revealed that Mr. Hawver had a baggie containing cocaine in his possession. Mr. Hawver was arraigned before Town Justice Wagner and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail for the drug offense and a parole violation. Mr. Hawvers bail was set at $1,500.00. Mr. Hawver is scheduled to return to Town Court on April 5, 2017 at 6:00 pm
