Traffic stop leads to DWI/Criminal Possession of Marijuana Arrest

On 02/16/2017 at around 11:30 pm Schodack Police arrested Benjamin Raymond, 36 of 646 Myrtle Ave, Albany for Driving While Intoxicated (BAC .11%), Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th Degree, and Speed in Zone (66 mph in a 45 mph zone). While on patrol on Miller Road, Det. Sgt. Thomas stopped Mr. Raymond for speeding. An investigation revealed Mr. Raymond had over 2 ounces of marijuana and some marijuana candy in his possession. Mr. Raymond failed field sobriety testing at the traffic stop. Mr. Raymond was issued an appearance ticket for the marijuana possession and traffic tickets for DWI and speed in zone. Mr. Raymond is schedule to reappear in Town of Schodack Court on 03/08/2017 at 6:oo pm.
