On Sunday September 9th 2012 at 9:45 PM 19 year old Joseph M. Scrum of Schodack was arrested for:
Dissemination of Indecent material to a minor in the First Degree a Class D Felony
Possessing a Sexual performance by a child less than 16 years of age a Class E Felony
Endangering the welfare of a child a Class A Misdemeanor
Schodack Police received a complaint from the victims parents that reside in Iowa that their 13 year old was exchanging sexual images and text messages with Joseph M. Scrum who is 19 years old. The images and texts were discovered on the childs IPod. Schodack Police and the City of Independence Police of Iowa worked together on the investigation. Joseph Scrum was arrested without incident and arraigned before Nassau Village Judge Conway and released to probation day reporting.
