On September 9, 2014 The Town of Schodack Police Department arrested Robin Shaver, 53 of 207 Center Street Ellenville, NY for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Hamilton Printing Co. in Castleton, NY. Ms. Shaver had struck a retaining wall in the Hamilton Printing Co. parking lot as well as a guard rail on state route 9J just north of Hamilton Printing. Ms. Shaver possessed a small quantity of crack cocaine and a glass pipe. She was evaluated by a certified drug recognition expert from SUNY Albany Police, determined to be under the influence of drugs, and subsequently arrested. Ms. Shaver was arraigned in Schodack Town Court and is currently remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $1,000.00 bail. East Greenbush Police assisted with this arrest as well.
