On Friday November 6th 2015 at around 5:30 pm, The Town of Schodack Police Department along with New York State Police K9 from Schodack, DEA Task Force, New York State Division of Parole, Nassau Police Department K9, NYSP Schodack BCI headquarters arrested Bradley Torrey, 30 of 238 Pawling Avenue, Troy, NY for Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree, Obstructing Govemental Administration 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest. Members of the Schodack Police were called to investigate a suspicious package received by the staff of the Comfort Inn at 99 Miller Road. This package was addressed to Mr. Torrey who had booked a room in the hotel. Following an investigation of the package, Mr. Torrey arrived at the hotel to sign for and pick up the package. When Mr. Torrey was approached by police he fled but was apprehended and placed into custody after a short foot pursuit. All told, 4 pounds of marihuana and approximately 5,000 dollars was seized as a result of this investigation. Torrey was sent to Rensselaer County Jail without bail and a New York State Parole hold for parole violations. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm in Town of Schodack Justice Court.
