On September 14th, 2016 the Schodack Police Department arrested 24 year old Christopher Rioux of Schodack, NY and 24 year old Shane Banks of Schodack, NY. The two were staying at the Bel Air Motel in the Town of Schodack. The Schodack Police Department was assisting with a search of their motel room with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. The two were found to be in possession of Heroin and other drug related contraband. They were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and released on an appearance ticket due back in the Schodack Town Court.
