On April 16th, 2017 the Schodack Police Department arrested 33 year old Anthony Palella of New Lebanon, NY. Mr. Palella was stopped on State Route 20 for broken brake lamp. Mr. Palella used his brothers identity as an attempt to avoid the discovery of his suspended drivers license. After an investigation determined his true identity he was arrested and processed at the Schodack Police Department. Mr. Palella was charged with the misdemeanors of Identity Theft in the third degree, Criminal Impersonation in the second degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the third degree and other traffic infractions. He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of bail ($2500 cash or bond) due to appear back in the Schodack Town Court on 05/03/2017 at 06:00 PM.
