On March 18, 2018 at around 11:30 am, officers responded to Goodyear Tire on Route 9 to investigate a burglar alarm activation. Responding officers found Patricia Rentschler, 61 of Bernville, PA in the parking lot and the business closed. Looking for a service technician, Ms. Rentschler had entered the building through an unsecured door and triggered the alarm. While officers where interviewing Rentschler they observed that she had a glass container containing marijuana in her possession. The business owner declined to pursue charges of trespassing, but Rentschler was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana. Rentschler was scheduled to appear in Town of Schodack Justice Court on 04/11/2018 at 6:00 pm.
