On January 3rd, 2018 at 09:33 PM the Schodack Police Department arrested 46 year old Chester Everetts of Schodack, NY. The Schodack Police Department responded to a report of a man in the roadway on Columbia Tupike in the area of the Four Seasons Motel. Patrol officers located Mr. Everetts in the motel and were confronted by several people stating the man was intoxicated and causing a disturbance at the motel and the plaza across the road. His motel room had been destroyed and a victim came forward during the investigation stating the same man had restrained her in her motel room and forcibly raped her. Mr. Everetts then fought with the officers on the scene only complying second before the deployment of a TASER. Mr. Everettes was charged with the felonies of Rape 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree and the misdemeanors of Obstructing Govemental Administration 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail with no bail and a preliminary hearing was set for 01/10/2018 in the Schodack Town Court.
